Grooming FAQs

Before the Appointment

How long does a grooming appointment take?

Most baths take 1–2 hours and full grooms 2–3 hours, depending on coat and size. If your dog is with us for daycare or boarding that day, we’ll time the groom so they’re fresh and fluffy at pickup.

My dog is nervous about grooming. Can you help?

Absolutely. Our groomers are fear-free certified: we go at your dog’s pace, use treats and breaks, and will stop and reschedule rather than force a stressful session. Many nervous pups relax completely by visit three.

Do you groom doodles and double-coated breeds?

Yes — doodles, huskies, shepherds, and golden retrievers are regulars here. We never shave double coats unless medically necessary, and we’ll talk honestly about matting and maintenance.

What vaccinations are required?

Rabies, distemper, and bordetella, just like daycare and boarding. Send records ahead of your visit or ask your vet to email them to hello@snoutsidedoglodge.com.
